Business Overview

MADCOW – Stands for ‘Make a difference Change Our World’ and under the MADCOW banner we have a dedicated team committed to making a difference in our community through a range of initiatives that help people reach their full potential.

We are a self-funded community organisation with 40+ staff serving the people of Bendigo and advocating on their behalf. We are a registered NDIS provider. We derive most of our income from two streams. Our commercial cleaning business and our op-shop.

Life Essentials Community Hub – In the heart of Bendigo and our main contact point to the community. We work closely with the homeless and disadvantaged families, providing free and affordable essential items as we journey through life with them. Our op-shop runs out of this centre.
1HOPE mentoring - Mentoring ‘at-risk’ primary school-aged children in local schools.
NEXUS Bendigo Youth Theatre – Youth theatre open at all secondary aged kids, offering an amazing opportunity to perform in an amateur theatre company whilst learning valuable life skills in a safe and friendly environment.
Playgroups – Offering a dynamic weekly program in a supportive and caring environment for approx. 70 local families.
Gilead Counselling – Our registered counselling centre offering professional Christian counselling to the general public.
MADCOW Cleaning enterprise - Offering training and ongoing employment in commercial cleaning and gardening. Approximately 35 staff employed, consisting mostly of Karen refugees.
MADCOW Café – Our café provides employment and training in an inclusive environment and allows us the opportunity to journey with people and ‘share life’ with disadvantaged and marginalised people.
MADCOW breakfast club – An extension of our meals program including meals for the homeless.
